Why this does not work as a board book. I think board books with tabs on the side is another way a child might damage this book, and could be put in the mouth and chewed off. Isn't that why we get board books so we don't worry about small parts that babies can choke on?
Flap books are also a way of showing a child how to be careful with a book, but these form of tabs also seem like the wrong style for babies.
While these tabs are another part to turn pages it is another part to tear off. While I enjoy a good collection of nursery rhymes and really getting it in board book form might be the first of gathering a larger collection for yourself. One of the rhymes in this collection promotes children to" Leave your supper and leave your sleep, And join your playfellows in the street"? Maybe this board book is really made not for baby to handle but a nice lap book for mom.
