Farm Board Books

Many children will learn animal sounds as part of early language development. So why not get them board books about Farm animals to help them start to understand where animals live and things they might do.

An illustrator I having been enjoying for a few years now in children's literature is Will Hillenbrand. He does simple ink drawings with water colour but the character of each animal has a personality that seems to jump off the page. A board book by Merrily Kutner is a sweet story about a goat and other farm animals exploring the world around them. "Down on the Farm" is a sweet story that will grab baby and mom's attention about what might happen down on the farm.
